Took screenshot idling by from deeper water.
Back to Louie this morning. Got an earlier start.
Went back to the spot I caught them last time, caught 3 little ones. Tried a point with the wind blowing across it. Caught 3 more and a bass. Downwind of the point is a sunken tree in 6 fow. Caught 3 more from it. Went back to the first spot, slowed down, and caught 5 or 6 more. Shiners 2-3 feet above a bank sinker. Several really nice fish!!
I remembered to take a screenshot of the tree on side imaging.

Nice looking fish there. Got to get my side imaging dialed in!

Level the transducer for how your boat sits at rest or at 2-3 mph. Also tilt big motor up to see both sides in shallow water. Some things don’t show up as well on mega imaging. I put out some willow tops in 8 fow and could only see them on 455. They were cut just before I sunk them, so probably had similar density to water.
I’m still not good at telling what kind of fish I am looking at. I have seen some very large fish in deep water at Lovelace Lake. Hope this helps
