The fish will let you know. Ha ha. But seriously, the last time out this cooler weather/water has the fish scattered. I had to cover a lot of water. The latest in the year I have caught on crank baits was 1st, 2nd week of Nov. which we are fast approaching. It really depends on the water temp and how much it slows down the fish. As the water cools, the fish get sluggish and won't travel as far to hit the bait. So the reaction bite goes away. You pretty much have to smack them on the nose to get bit. As long as the surface temps stay above 70, you can catch 'em. When it falls below 65, I switch over to spider-rigging with jigs and shiners.
Only need three more years before I can think like a fish.

I want to try it so bad, but I keep killing them at both Indian Creek and Kincaid, so I can't make myself leave those.
