    Default First Live Scope Fish

What a birthday present to myself then Ida sets in so installation was a few days in coming. I decided to make everything portable so I have the black box and 32Ah battery in a plastic box with the head unit mounted on top. The transducer pole is made from old trolling motor parts I had laying around. After I got everything the way I wanted it was off to Spring Bayou to try to figure this thing out , note to self don’t go to a WMA on opening day of Alligator season. After about an hour of adjusting trying to get a clear picture and having the transducer facing backwards everything started to come into place. I could see an unbelievable amount of fish on the screen some big some small I dropped my braided line and 1/32 oz jig in I was able to see it clearly also. Now off to find some structure that held fish, at the intersection of two major canals I found an old cypress stump in about 8’ of water that had a few fish and got to watch the jig fall the fish swam up and I felt the thump. Simply amazing then two boats passed one on each side of me and the fish disappeared. This is going fun and a new learning experience. Name: IMG_0384.jpg

Glad you got it wired up and working.
I have never laughed so hard, or so much since I got livescope.
    It is really entertaining.

Wow! Glad you got it going! Happy birthday!! My question is “with so many different species of fish in the water in Louisiana, how do you tell which ones are crappie”?

Nice! I have one in the box but won’t get it installed until next year. I can’t wait.

I personally don't have any experience with Live Scope, but I have some friends that do. From what they tell me, it takes time with the unit on the water to tell the difference between species of fish. From what I understand, its how they relate to structure and how they react to your bait. Very nice Chip!
Only need three more years before I can think like a fish.

I can't always tell, big bream look like small crappie, bar fish look like crappie but hardly ever sit still. Good, gar and carp, they are a no brainer. Time on the water is the only way.
