    Default 7/17/21 Flat Lake

Headed back east to Flat Lake Saturday. Way different than the weekend before. Bounced around to a few spots and id say we struggled to catch 25 fish. Kept 9. Bobby Garland Baby Shad and Fast Castin Baits Gator Tails.

Still a nice mess. As I was born and grew up in Morgan City, I spent many hours of my younger years there. Used to fish a bayou called Bear bayou.

Big time. We probably caught 100 fish each day last weekend. Bite definitely changed.

Do y'all still those nice chickapins in flat lake. I remember years ago being invited to go catch some of them and the day we went we couldn't find a fish to bite. I finally caught a small bass in Bear Bayou for our only fish for the day. You had a nice catch there and from the color of them it looks like the water was stained or muddy.

Been a while since i stumbled upon a nest. I can remember 10-15 yrs ago getting into them where you get tired of catching them.
