    Default Whiskey Bay, too

Saw 6 Inch Minimum's post and thought I'd chime in. Saw that he's catching the blacks shallow but I've only had a couple decent days catching them shallow. Go figure. I've been catching mostly whites lately on the deeper pilings with hair jigs and getting most of my bites away from the pilings. Here's one that was about 15".

Water is still a couple feet too high for jigging the pilings but shouldn't be much longer if this rain would only stop.

I usually catch 90% blacks but it's been almost all whites lately. I've heard the blacks stay shallow longer so that may be it.

Thanks guys. I've been at this now for a solid 2 years. It's been fun and I'm learning a bunch. I'm still trying to get that 16" + fish, though. I really don't think there are many of them in S. Louisiana. I'm thinking I'll need to go do a tour of the N. MS lakes.

I think you're right and i'm going to do the same early next year. Probably try to line up a trip with a guide on Grenada.
