    Default Saline

This is a 2 day report from Friday and today Monday. Friday’s trip started out late cause it was pretty chilly then passed up shiners only to find the next bait and breakfast shop still closed at 8 am. Turned around and drove back 10 mi. to the one I passed to get my bait, should have kept going and went home. Now it’s after 9 getting the boat launched and head out to try to catch a few, first fish is right at 10” and hooked in the throat so in the box he goes. The next 20 some ought barley break the 6” mark and I’m just about out of shiners and I stopped twice on the way back to jig some cypress trees catching a big googleye. Monday’s trip started out better with bait and breakfast at the first stop making the launch at day break. Made my way back to Lil Saline with the water up about a ft and a half and dirty, stayed about 10 minutes catching a small catfish. I decided to make the run across the lake and it was game on if you like small fish catching one after another till they ate 75 shiners by 10 am. Even had one greedy little male eat both shiners on the same pole, ending up keeping 7. Where O where are the big fish? Even Spot got him one Name: IMG_0228.jpg

Keep them stirred up for me. May be a month or so before I can go again.
