    Default Whiskey Bay/work canal


    Started single poling shallow and deep at the boat ramp. Not a nibble. Water was clear but rather dark. Scanned on the outside of the pilings and noticed more fish and bait. The bait was near the bottom and the fish were above them...weird... long lined through them. Got a bite from a gar then moved to different water... tge intersection of the work canal had green water with decent visibility. Also...there was a guy there using livescope or some equivalent to it and he was boating fish of some sort infrequently. So now i knew i was in the right place. Fished and fished and fished and caught 2. Bream and a sac. Pics should keep me from being ticketed and skunked....thank goodness the guy moved over 2 or 3 pilings or else i would have not got the sacalait.....can’t wait for may and june to come....yesterday i learned about water color...

    Oh and the bream had 2 tiny crawfish in the stomach. Awesomely greedy he was. And he tasted good.
