    Default Cocodrie Lake

This is my second trip there this week, Monday I figured with the water temp getting into the 60’s they should have been headed for the trees and shallow water. Wrong they were holding in the button wood trees in about 6’ of water, just a little to deep for me to get to in my waders. Had a nice lady pass and she caught 4 in front of me. Friday found me back in the same spot jigging the outside of the trees with about a foot more water in the lake and muddy. They moved again. I put on the waders again finding a few small males. The Mississippi invasion was definitely there I think I had the only Louisiana license plate in the parking lot. Name: IMG_0217.jpg

Mo I like it alot, it's supper sensitive with the wright amount of backbone and nice and lite. I'm not a big fan for the cutouts in the cork handle they seem to be back just a little to far and it floats. I like it as much as my SHSS, we'll have to get together and make a trip I would like to try the ACC. HaHa now I'm becoming a connoissour of jigging poles.

Cocodrie Lake is the one with Bennett’s Bay? Used to have an alligator that would swim up to the dock when he would tap the dock with a paddle. Remember getting stung by 5 black wasps there. Caught some nice bass a very long time ago!

Probably not. This one is near Turkey Creek, Louisiana. Basically a cypress swamp with a few open areas. It would be highly unusual to see one Mississippi tag there. Cocodrie means crocodile in French, so every place a Cajun saw an alligator is called cocodrie!

Nice catch Chip! Really like the goggle eye in there too! I love my ACC rod, of course I love my BnM's also! The ACC does have a slightly better backbone but it is also heavier, by a little bit. They both seem to have close to the same sensitivity.
