I started tying crappie jigs last year and hadn't ordered anything from Skip until recently. Now I gotta wonder why it took me so long. He's got good stuff and good prices.

I try to tie a few here and there. I've found that Jann's Netcraft has a wide variety and prices are decent. Rod Building Supplies | Lure Making Supplies | Fly Tying Supplies | Fishing Hooks

I use several suppliers. Honeyhole if I'm in West Monroe. Also Bass Pro and Cabelas has some supplies. If ordering online I have used Barlows tackle, Hook and Hackle, Crazy Angler, and more. But when I'm picking out hackle and kip or buck or squirrel tails, I prefer to look at them and feel them before I buy if I can. All supplies are not created equal. I'm not quite as picky when it comes to chenille. Good luck and enjoy!

Majority of my supplies have come from Skip. I feel he has the very best chenille with the sizes and fullness. Some others I have bought seem skimpy and small for the jigs I tie. He also is amazingly talented and shares his knowledge freely. I consider him my sensei and I’m still the young grasshopper with lots to learn.....lol
