    Default Poverty Point

Hello guys and gals, I'm also a first time poster here.

I live on Black Lake near Campti, Louisiana but while waiting for the crappie to start biting here I'm looking to venture out a little bit and try other lakes.

Has anyone tried fishing Poverty Point near Delhi for crappy lately?

Last weekend I went to Lake Fork in Texas and thanks to livescope I cought about 2 dozen over 10 inches.

Pretty much willing to travel anywhere within about a 3 hour drive or so if the bite is on.

Good luck on Toledo Bend. I'm just over an hour away from Toledo Bend/Many, La and idk why but I've never once got to fish there. One day I'll have to make the trip.

Welcome to the board. I have a home on Grand Bayou. I will have to meet up with you sometime.

I fish 7 days a week; some days for fish, everyday for men.

Grand Bayou is definitely on my list of lakes to learn how to fish. It's only about 35-40 minutes away from me. I've been there many times but it was to swim / tube...

I heard they were going to lower the lake, I never seen it other then at the normal water level. I have no clue how much they are able to drop it. Is it still going to be fishable? Would I still be able to make it all the way to the Dam from the boat dock at Grand Bayou Resort?

It will be fishable. Dropping it 7 feet below pool stage.
