I fish 7 days a week; some days for fish, everyday for men.

My wife and I get up to Poverty Point once or twice per year mainly for blue gill as they have some big ones. Last May, I caught some nice (12 inches plus) crappie using beetle spin while bluegill fishing. We talked to a few fisherman that were doing well fishing for crappie along the edges/rocks just pass the cabin area.

Plan to fish it next Wednesday with my nephew from Vicksburg.

This time of year I'd try the deep areas on the southeast side of the lake.

Well, it was a bust , DUE TO EXCESSIVE WIND! I couldn't do anything with all of the waves... Lots of fresh water there too... Going to try again later!
