    Just dreaming of the day when it is cool enuf to bring along a hot thermos of coffee on the boat....I am so ready to get back on the water after letting this heat and virus keep me close to home...been so long I got dirt dobbers on my boat...got my wheel bearings all fixed up this week...looking like some cool temps blowing in next week....Mama said I can have "yard leave"...Henderson, here I come....

    It seems like the seasons come and go too fast now. I saw Christmas trees on sale already at Costco.

    Mermentau, you are right, but I already have mine. Stuck last year's in the garden and, believe it or not, it grew roots and now looks better than it did last year.
    BTW, do you know the condition of the water in Bayou Nezpique?
    One found guilty of not using punctuation deserves the longest sentence possible.

    With the amount of rise up toward Bazile it would have to be bad. Generally the water in the Mermentau system gets better to the South way before it improves on the North end.

    I passed over the Vermilion River today in Lafayette and it's black water too.
