Default Went back to cypress this morning

I waited until the rain passed and got on the water around 1030. Started out pulling cranks, pico's and bandits. The pico greneda green was definitely the favorite. I trolled around until 1230, and got bored, so I went to some structure I know of, and caught a few more on jigs before leaving. I don't know how deep they were on the crankbaits because I just made a long cast, but the ones I caught on a jig was in 15 feet of water, and pretty close to the bottom Name: 20200903_110933.jpg

You did good. How fast were you pulling? A good cast should put you out about 40-50 ft and your bait will run 8-10 ft if your pole tips are about a foot or two off the water, the more line in the air the shallower they'll run.

I tried to keep it around 1.7 or so, it seemed like that's the speed I caught the most on, but my trolling motor doesn't have a fine tune adjustment lol so it was hard to keep it at that speed

Nice catch ! I tried my luck on Sunday, but so much ski boat traffic made it impossible to fish. Only caught 4 fish and will try another day.

Thanks, I refuse to try to fish that lake on a Saturday or Sunday, the waves will be ridiculous, and nobody cares that you're trying to fish. I may go tomorrow and try them out
