just think we were sleeping in it a few nights ago. It's insured. Just hope when they set it upright, i can get Mae's journal she has been keeping for 15 years of traveling. I would like to get my tools, pots and pans, fishing rods if they aren't broken(only had a few in there) and my 2 new fishing shirts. One of these day's I hope to fish again. It's been a while. We got water on already at our home thanks to an Army generator at the water plant. I'm thinking our subd. will be one of the first with power. The poles along the highway are in good shape and everything is underground to the homes.Sure will be glad to go back. We slept in our new bed 5 nights.

Thank God that there were so few casualties from this terrible storm. No doubt the clean-up, repairs and restoration will be a long and trying process for everyone affected.
Thanks so much for the update. Our prayers and thoughts will remain with you and everyone who was in harm's way for as long as it takes.

It is in BR at a parts yard. Was able to save a few items. Carefully crawled through it , still got scratched up. Saved a couple of things that were important to us. Mae's journal that she has been writing in for 15 years on our trips. Also our 8 stuffed animals that travel on our bed. Gifts from our kids and grand kids. Meant a lot to save those. Got a few more camper items. Did not take pics, but looked like every thing in it was broke, including walls, cabinets, windows, mirrors and doors.Like it was bombed. Washed and dryer looked good, but no way to remove,no openings large enough in any direction. Anyway, Allstate paid me and after the auction for parts, they said I will get that too. They really came through. Looking for another one. Still got a few trips to do. House area cleaned up. Waiting on electricity still. Letting some older people use my generator. Not sure where we will get fence boards from. I even looked in BR. When the house insurance settles, we will fix the roof asap and the fence when we can. We were so blessed. We still have each other and our doggies, The rest will be fixed. Lake Charles will be bad for years. We had started falling in love with the town. Bummed about that.

Wow, glad things are going well, but still no power. Not good.

Let me know what color decal the front of you new trailer will need, and I'll mail you out one. Also, if there is anything else we can do for you and Mae, do not hesitate to ask.

On another note, maybe Mae needs to put her travel journal entries online, and add pics too, kinda like I do with my Slabs Stories. https://www.crappie.com/crappie/list...Slab-s-Stories

For that matter, anyone else want a place to put their journal entries and travel stories, let me know. I'd be willing to put up a forum or a folder for them here on Crappie.com. This might be a cool idea, a better place than fakebook for sure.

Went to the house yesterday. Latest rumors are could be next month on electric, and it is only a mile away. We had some of the least damaged homes and worse damaged electric stucture .
