    Default Cranking at Larto


    Cranking with these new colors Name: IMG_1358.jpg Views: 398 Size: 38.5 KB

    Fish seem to like it Name: IMG_1356.jpg Views: 411 Size: 81.0 KBName: IMG_1354.jpg Views: 421 Size: 70.6 KB

    Wish I had gotten there earlier might have had more than 9. I did manage 2 more 2 pounders. Water has dropped about 2 foot now. It’s fixing to interesting.

    Is it mostly white crappie in larto or is it because cranking is more productive for them?

    I find that when you fish the open water that’s what you catch is white crappie. Then when I hit the bayous and get around cypress trees and a lot of bank cover that’s when I start getting the black crappie. There might be other opinions but that’s how it usually workouts for me.

    I think that color is "parrot". Was a good bass color in the Atchafalaya spillway a few years back. But gars liked it also,
