Got another early start to try to beat the heat and it was a beautiful morning for a boat ride. Name: IMG_0746.jpg

Sorry bout the fuzzy pic but I was traveling 30 mph. Anyway back to fishing, I found the fish but they were in the top half of the water column to shallow for my deep diving crank baits so I tried the 220 Arkies and it was game on. They active bites were coming from in front of the side canals that drain into the main bayou. Ended the morning with 22.

I forgot to add the complex is about a ft below pool stage and falling fast, mud flats showing and huge stumps that I never new were there are at the surface. This should be a good learning experience for new places to fish so if you go be careful.

Nice fish and a great report. You did good by adjusting to conditions.
A crackerjack in a delivery van pulls in my driveway thismorning. Speed-Dee delivery service...the guy was kinda grumpy but did give me a box full of Arkie 220's...kinda proud I bought them after reading your report .
Had a fella tell me him and his partner were tournament fishing and realized the Arkie color they were hungry for he was out of in 350's....He did have the same color in 220's...Him and his partner won the tournament with little - bitty ole 220's...I only had a few so figured it was time to stock up..
    Thanks
