    Default Friday yak trip

Decided to try an area I have never fished before. Houston river. Went through several small goggle eye, 2 small sacs and a keeper bass that decided to jump out of the yak before I could corral him (ALWAYS NET YOUR FISH IN A YAK!!!) before I finally caught a decent keeper sac at 9 am. Caught 2 more keepers really quick and then it slowed before I missed another keeper and landed a keeper. Missed 1 more keeper before I called it a day at 11. Very satisfied with 4 fish on unknown waters. Cleaned them and gave them to mom for watching my dogs.Name: 20200710_071006.jpg

You didn't get the memo, NO padding in this heat.

It was HOT but this is a winding river system with lots of trees (shade) so it wasn't terrible. And I didn't go that far, never lost sight of the parking lot! lol
