    Default Lake Verret

Going to drown some shiners in Lake Verret tomorrow morning. It’ll be my first trip going after sac-a-lait instead of catfish and bream there. We’ve had some decent trips this year but haven’t been able to put the catfish rod down. I’ll have some crickets and worms just in case it doesn’t work out. Planning to work lay downs along the east bank early. Any suggestions?

Here’s some pics from our last few trips. Never took the time to give a report. Bream in the canals, catfish along the lake. Hopefully the sacs will be as easy to find.

They have. My oldest will probably be as tall as my wife a year from now lol. Taking him in the morning. His little brother isn’t into fishing hard yet. Wants to boat ride more than fish.

Where have you been launching from? Looks like Bayou Corne.

I launch at Bayou Corne. I’d rather an extra 15 minute boat ride than 15 minute truck ride. We were fishing in Crackerhead canal on the east bank of the lake.
