nice feesh right there. Nut n better than getting to dat landin before da rain.
With the weather man missing the forecast the last couple days I figured I could get out before the wind blew to bad, wrong. I got to Woodsons Landing before day light with a SE breeze @ 10-15, It was gonna be a little rough crossing the lake but figured I would give it a try. I had 50 minners to feed the little fish, first stop nothing. I moved to the South side behind the trees and set up again and showed bait fish on the screan. I picked up a keeper here and there and the wind kept-blowing harder and the sky’s started looking black off to the west. Time to go, arriving at the dock just before the rain. 8 good ones made the ride home.

The weather this year... or at least this time of the year is front after front either coming in or going out and more wind than I can recall... well since I can remember.
One thing for sure: You were after 'em instead of sittin' around the house wishin' you had tried it.
The forecast here (again) is calling for double digit winds and scattered showers and thundershowers every day this week.
Like you did: All you can do is pick a day... launch the boat... and hope for the best.

Way to go Skippa! I went looking for water to train my lab in. Too many gators!! Found a place near Waterproof that was shallow and open that worked. Left there and went south and saw 3 big gators trying to impress each other. Then power washed the front porch.

did you save the minnows for the next trip? Foam buckets are good and bad at the same time --- they allow oxygen into the water and leak water ... A good catch before the rain
Not bad for a quick trip!
