Truth be told, that’s the million dollar question everyone else is asking....Regulations need to change to help our smaller bodies of water around Lafayette area.

I always fish the Henderson basin and surrounding bayous. It's my son's 13th bday and I think he's tired of the bream and catfish. Can't say I blame him. Is there any day trip that we can make from the area and have a decent chance of catching a mess of sac-a-lait this weekend? I have a little 16' tracker, no real displays, and only setup for single pole jig and shiners.
Hoping you guys can help steer me in the right direction. God bless!

Actually, I was wondering if there are any trips we can take, 2 or 3 hours out around the state, and have a better chance?

I can't help with that! I like my trips short and sweet and within an hour. It does looks like Toledo and Darbonne are doing well, though. Larto/Saline is dropping and looking like a few are being caught. If you're on Facebook, get on the Louisiana Fishing Report page.
