Default Bonne Carre Spillway opening soon.

As early as Friday 4-3. When the Miss River is
flowing at 1.25 million cf per sec and with a level of 17 ' at the Carrollton gauge in NO, it has to be opened by law.
Gotta get this water OUT. The Delta's are silting in.

The USACE is currently predicting the Miss River to crest at 17' on 04/08, however, it appears that they are going to divert water into the Atchafalaya starting tomorrow to keep the level below 17' at New Orleans. My guess is that they won't open the Bonne Carre.

Yeah, they opened about 130 bays (started Friday of last week). Hopefully they will not stay open for a long period of time. Third straight year of openings, I believe this will be the norm going forward.
