Good place for you to try. Take I10 towards New Orleans. Pass Manchac launch and launch at Ruddock. Fish the west side of the interstate canal and under the interstate. Use very shallow crank baits under the interstate. Probably only a couple feet deep and stumpy. Great bass spawning ground. Not big but we used to limit out there regularly this time of year. Also there are a few side canals and bream and a few crappie can be caught when the water warms up. Should be great next full moon for the bass. If the fish are biting or not, stop and eat at Middendorfs when you head home.
