Welcome to the forum! Sorry I can’t help you get on the water...I live in the northwest area of the state. Bet someone comes along, though. Lots of friendly folks here.
I am newer to New Orleans and would like to see if anyone would like to take me out crappie fishing. I will pitch in for gas. I am a disabled vet living in Gentilly. Can travel depending on the day. Thank you. Enjoy your threads and learning a lot about this area.

Thank you. I have a kayak but have no idea on where to fish here in this state. If no one comes along I’ll figure something out.
I can’t help much on the south shore and I don’t get to fish much here enough with my own boys to offer a boat ride.
BUT if I were you I’d concentrate the kayak time to Bayou Savage. In particular, the area off the launch in Irish Bayou. I’ve only been a few times when I used to Bass fish, but swore to get back one day.
Big Gators though.
If you venture towards Slidell or Pearl River, I can give you a ton of spots to drop in with yak.

Years ago I use to fish a borrow pit lake behind a big white church along the south side of I10 east. I know after Katrina that area was devistated but would be something to look for when traveling in N O. Also check out Bayou Savage WMA. I almost forgot, Welcome to the board from central La.
