Default First Trip of New Year

Between chasing ducks, work, and the flu, I haven't been fishing in a while! Decided to try Lake O the Pines today(I know, it's not in Louisiana, but it's close. and a good winter lake!)

Typical first trip in a while. Had to find stuff, forgot stuff(Hbird). Finally got on the lake around 2:30. Fished some spots in front of the dam in 25-35 fow. Finally found a few willing fish on a hump at 25 that rose up from 37'.

Not much, but it was really nice to get back on the water.

Ended up with 4 crappie. I'm glad to catch something on an unplanned trip in an old boat that hasn't been out in a month or two.Name: IMG_2966.jpg

Been a while since I've seen 4 in a row. Just enough for Linda and I.
