The mild winter will bring a early spawn . I bet some are shallow if its in the 60s

Although it is a little early and the Larto stage is a little high, yet steady, the conditions are near perfect for a spawn. The water temperature is 65°F, the barometer is 30.11 and steady, off a fall, and we are on the back side of a full moon. These conditions will only last until Thursday so you may want to give it a try. The next possibility for these conditions to exist is not until early March. I wish that I could go but the boss has other plans for me this week.

That's funny you would bring this up, I was by a friend of mines house yesterday making a trade of empty egg cartens and filets for fresh yard eggs. While walking to the back garage he has all kinds of fruit trees and the cooking pear trees had buds and blooms on them. Another sunny day and they will flower. Crazy weather 75* yesterday.

More to it than just water temps, the eggs havent had time to form yet
shallow fish dont always mean they are spawning. January is one the best times to run yoyos in some of the north Louisiana lakes and those fish are not close to spawning. The yoyos are sometimes right on the bank and water temps very cold
