    Default Powder Paint Fluid Beds

Hey fellow fisher people. I've been away from the website for awhile and from fishing for awhile . Trying to get started again and going to try to do some powder coating. I was wondering if anybody remembers awhile back of a guy posting on here about making some fluid beds and using a different type of membrane other than a piece of brown paper bag? Any information would be great . Thanks and blessed Thanksgiving to everyone.

    Fluid Beds - TJ's Tackle

This is where I got my cups from. They work great. The rest I built myself.

Like Tev8514 said. Build your own base and just order you some cups from tj’s taclke. His have the commercial filter material built in and work better than any of the others I have tried. I hated the aggravation of trying to get cups to seal with other materials and always run the risk of poking a hole through it and having a mess.

Chamois material works great for me. Search the painting section under the jig making forum

Wow, thanks guys. Got a couple of days vacation coming up. Gonna do some research on this info and get something going here . I've got my lead melting pot , ingots, and moids . Just need to get the paint , hooks, and fluid beds and I'm a jig making fool. LOL Hope it's that easy. I'll let y'all know. Have a great Thanksgiving , be safe , and thanks again for the info.

All great info here. I’d suggest skipping the fluid bed and just dip into the fluffed up jars.
But I do know what membrane you’re speaking of and know I have a small sheet somewhere around here. Maybe attic. I will look for you. A friend sent it many years ago. Just more trouble than it’s worth if you ask me.
Can do all you need within the jars. And create your own custom colors with extra jars.
This is a custom paint I came up with for a buddy who loves Bobby Garland blue thunder jigs
