These are Strike King Slab Hammers. The bait runs about like a Bandit 200. Not as deep as the 3XD, but they will catch fish.

I see some of the guys post about pulling cranks on Cypress Lake. Seems like these colors should help you catch an extra fish or two.
Three years ago I saw a guy on the lake catching big Crappie by casting crankbaits over brush piles. I purchased some Stike King 3XD's and found it to be a pretty easy way to catch a few big fish.
Just cast 20' past the brushpile and crank hard 4 or 5 times to get down then reel slowly over the brush pausing as you hit limbs.
At the time Wally Marshall had some Crappie cranks in 3XD that were bright chartreuse and another that was bright pink that will catch a big Crappie. Sexy Shad worked good too.
I see they aren't really sold anymore but you can buy them at times on Ebay. This is a technique that still works for me today.

Only need three more years before I can think like a fish.prefers shiners, shadow LIKED above post
I can't find 3XD in the colors your describing and do have some of the slab hammers like my brother described above that came from Dick's. I have caught crappie trolling on Cypress with sexy shad , yellow perch, and white 3XD baits.
I find that there are more color choices with Bandit 300's or Arkie's.

Bandit 300's have some Great colors and I'm sure catch allot of Crappie trolling. The 3XD's are 5/8oz and the 300's are 3/8 oz, so casting and reeling would be a little more difficult. Especially into the wind.
I may take some of the colors that don't perform Very good & have them repainted.
For cast and retrieve I like the new Pico square bill's

If the square bill's hit brush or a limb most of the time they will deflect and not get hung up

I have a good lure retriever....lol.
I can make a long Cast with a 3XD & reel it down to 8'.
I'm looking for a lure brand in good Crappie colors that I can cast and reel down to 10'-12' over some of my existing brushpiles.
A Pico INT will do that click here Pico INT Crankbaits
