    I bought the kit as shown from China. If you or the first 10 person's to like my "Larto Gauge Forecast" posts and PM me your e-mail and physical address, I'll send a kit to you. They come from China, so it will take about 30 days. It works great and comes with about 50 - 1/4" rubber bands.

    I agree that a hair jig is the most effective bait for crappie but I suspect plastic bait is used much more by fishermen. I use both and there is nothing more frustrating to me then the plastic bait slipping back on the hook. The rubber band method seems to be effective and alleviates some of my frustrations. BTW I like your signature quote. Very true.

    That’s a very unique idea.

    For me though, I like a wire retainer, or even better, a screw lock.

    I have another idea rolling around in my head but I haven’t figured out a good way to make it yet.
