Thread: Searching For New Water on the Red

Hit the Red river yesterday. Tested an old spot and caught 2 quickly on 5 drops. Then tried 2 spots just off the river. I had never fished either place before, but both looked great. Access to deep water, lots of cover, a bit of current, and good water clarity. After fishing each for ay least an hour with no fish caught, I think the missing element was baitfish.

I moved to a community hole, and caught 10 nice fish, with the largest one almost 14".

Nice day on the river and not as hot as it has been.
