    Default October Crappie on D'Arbonne??

Hey folks. I haven't posted much on here in a long time since work and family has pretty much kept me off the lake this year, but the planets are aligning next month, and the girl's troop is camping at the park in mid-October. Already told the wife she can drive separate because I'm towing a boat! I've only ever fished this lake during the gatherings in Nov or Dec, so if anyone could give me any advice on where to find them in mid-October, I'd appreciate it. I need to make the most of any trip I can. LOL Guess I better remember to renew my license first too!

    TIA!

Edge of the channel somewhere in the 10 or 12 deep range usually. They seem to show up around fork ferry first and that's about mid October best I can remember.

We have caught black crappie tight to stumps on channel edge earlier than that but I wouldn't bank on it.

Check back when it gets a little closer. It's been a lot warmer than normal lately.

What days are you going to be there Scott. I work off Thursday 10/10. I haven't been fishing since the last gathering. Need fishing license also.

We should start getting some Reports soon ---- Went to pick up med from Vet today, the Boat ramp parking was full at 11:00.. Most days those that fished were gone early and were tight Lipped

Well...looks like I won't be able to make it after all Rick. I'm getting an MRI this Thursday, but pretty certain I tore the distal tendon on my right arm. The ortho doc is wanting to get the results by Thu afternoon and schedule surgery on Fri or Mon. Either way, I won't be fishing until late November at the earliest. Sure through a wrench in a lot of my plans over the month of October!!

I hope you get out there soon man...we shouldn't have to struggle to work so hard and miss out on all the fun in life. lol Let us know how you do if you go!
