    Default The Dead Sea

    AKA Old river @ Morganza

Saturday trips are rare for Jig Rig. Told/asked Momma for a leave slip. She Said where and why.
I says Mo needs a report. She says who's Dat? I say crappie Com. She says he's gonna help with your chores?

Topped the levee bout 8am. I say da bite must be on. Parking lot is full. 😁

Ran to my go to spot nada. Not even a gar fish roll. Decided to run to my spots on da Innis end. Hooked on biggun dat came up sideways and spit da jig at me. Must have been a three pounder.😉

Hit a few rafts on the way to the ball park.last pic is da park. Had it to myself. Nuttin there but a super size goo for PPG. Looks like the silver camp came threw the high water in great shape. 😆

Talked to half a dozen folks that where doing as I.

    Going back to Disney unless??

Man...glad I don’t bet, cause I would have bet the farm that if J.R. went to old river he’d load the boat...but no Sacalait!!!! Sorry J.R., but I appreciate you making the sacrifice and scouting it out for us!
Have you ever fished the old river locks? Got a friend that’s been going and doing real good! Said they were in bushes and around willow trees!!! It’s a really fun place to fish when they get around the willows!

DA,Old River is either feast or famine with me.

the water has a green tint to it. Just doesn't seam right. Very few feesh popping the surface.

Yes Old river is Do or Die, 23 ft on BR gauge is good time to start fishing. When the water gets all the way down I will start trolling. If I get some time off from work.
