Default Anyone fish Bayou Teche south (downstream) of the Calumet Cut?

This part of Bayou Teche, between Calumet and Berwick, is not free flowing anymore and has been isolated with small locks at each end which are rarely opened. Today it has more characteristics of an oxbow lake than the bayou it used to be.

Anyway, the water looks pretty good when I was driving down the highway along it's bank last week. Has anyone fished this area lately or in the past? I know of two public boat landing for access - "Two Sisters" and "JB Hayes Memorial".

    Thanks for any input.

The weather is going to be decent tomorrow, not TOO hot. I'm off work tomorrow, so after I drop my son off at school I think I'll spend the rest of the morning on the water and see how it goes.
