What a difference two weeks can make with their Spawn --- Brad was using a Beetle Spin while I fed them Crickets. He caught mostly Big Bluegills, and lost a good bass. I only caught a few big Gills and the bite was so light it was hard to tell in the light wind. We kept 24 and returned almost as many as we kept. My line kept twisting and catching on the rod tip and finally had to cut it out and rig it again.. A few days ago I took a bream hook and made about 5 wraps at the top next to the eye with Yellow Chenille .. For bream SLAB SAUCE on that hook was a game Changer. The Bream slammed that cricket every time it hit the water so hard, it was hard to be ready for the hit. If you tie jigs and chase Bream sometimes -- rig up a hook for Slab Sauce. it should work with Worms too when the Bite is Lite --- The Bull Bream Melt Glands have got so small it was hard to even find. Brad got a big Catfish that had been hit by a Big Gar -- the teeth marks was 6 inches apart in its mouth.. the Cat must have slowed down with 17 Crawfish it had swallowed for Lunch, the Stomach only held a few .. looked like cars on the Interstate
