Default Whiskey Bay and Lake Verrett...

    WHISKEY BAY MONDAY 7/1...
Met up with Spike at 5:30 at the landing...went back East between the interstate for 4 miles and turned right into a canal.....fished 6 till 10:30....shiners...I wound up with 6 nice keeper sacs (see picture)....he had 3 sacs (shiners) and 3 bream (crickets)....not even close to what we were expecting....

    LAKE VERRETT WEDNESDAY 7/3...
Well, no picture ( but it happened ) because I let my fishing buddy "Spike" have all the fish,...we fished the south end of lake Verrett 6:30-11:30 with shiners....he gave me a final count later....30 catfish, 4 bream, 3 bass and 4 sacs....and that does not include several goo and gar....our tackle suffered bad....both of us have a broken pole and I have 2 reels to re-spool.....too many hang-ups....When we got back to the launch, a Game Warden stopped 2 guys in a skiff (when they got out of the water) and put them in handcuffs...they looked like crawfishermen....

Default Whiskey Bay and Lake Verrett...

After heading east from Whiskey Bay launch, I ran into that silt piled up at mouth of Bayou On left last year.
