    Default Spider rigging poles

I’m looking at getting a new set of poles and was wondering what everyone’s preference was. I’ve been looking at 14ft and 16ft poles and was curious to the pros and cons of each?

B&M Capps & Coleman here. 4 12s, 4 14s. Don't want anything longer. If I ever have a need to change, I will go to Southern Crappie SCRs in the same lengths. I don't pull cranks or long line, slow troll only in the fall and spring. My trolling racks are mounted on the side leaving the center of my boat open. I use the different length poles
to make the spacing of the tips work out.
    Tell'em I'll be there.

I’m still pretty new to spider rigging but when I go I just fish flats and edges of channels mostly. The lake I fish isn’t to bad the only structure in it is brush tops people have sunk.

I use 12’ ACC crappie stik. They are well balanced and very sensitive. I have been very successful with them. Personally if your trolling motor doesn’t sound like a Harley I don’t see a need to go any longer.
