I don;t know about others but this has been one frustrating fishing season. Bayou Sorrel, Pigeon,Henderson,Verret all out of play cause of the high water. Seems like lake des allemands is the only place I know in South Louisiana. Anyone know of another place?

Scotty I hear you. You right about the high water, wind and the weather. I have heard and seen pictures of some nice boxes of fish beeping caught around Union Oil, bayou black area. The guys that are catching is keeping quiet about it, but Like they say “They gotta eat”.

Looks like this springs fishing opportunities are a total loss for folks in our area...personally, I do not care to drive real far to fish....or to boat ride "idle speed" only around all the camps...looking forward to Toledo Bend next month....

You right Scotty...most of the places I fish are effected by high water in the mississippi/atchafalia rivers! And places you can sometimes fish when the water is high..., like jack Millers keep getting hit by these big rains we have been having that muddy everything up! I have a few private ponds that I fish sometimes this time of year, but they have been effected by the heavy rains too!
I live right next to a levee that has barrow pits and every once in a while I can catch a few off the bank at a few culverts...helps my itch a little!
    So...I feel your frustration...!
But sooner or later things will improve.
