Appreciate you sharing your day with the rest of us. Don't be too hard on yourself brother... cause there's not a one of us on this board who hasn't kicked ourselves in the butt many times with all manner of could've, would've, ought've, should've scenarios that I believe will never end as long as you continue to love fishing. If it wasn't for all of these many challenges and even mishaps... it would be so simple everyone would have it mastered.

Thanks and I agree... I try and review everyday at the end of the day to see what was done and how i can change things to make them better. After reviewing the instant replay in my head several times, i have come up with a couple different ways: Set hook as soon as the cork laid flat, which i did after picking up slack line... or due to i saw the fish swimming at me and the cork was moving at me, i could have used the bull whip method of setting hook, which should have caused the jig to pop upwards or like for speck trout with top water baits, wait for the fish to turn and i feel him and then set hook. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
