    Default Woolen Lake 3/1

Went to the camp over the weekend at Lafourche Lake. Decided to fish Woolen Sat. Morning. Caught 1 right away right up on the bank. But when I went to put him in the livewell, livewell pump would run , but no water came out

So I threw him back in, along with 20 others. But I did take a.few pics.

thanks for the post from Woolen --- the livewell pump is it to put water into the tank or recirculate water -- I hope it is an easy fix

Hopefully you get the live well figured out and you can go back and catch them.

it's to pump water into the livewell. The motor runs, but nothing comes out. I'm guessing its clogged up with debris. I tried it the next day, and it worked. Naturally, I didn't catch a fish.LOL The next day, I went to another lake, and it didn't work again.

I'm going to try to stick a water hose into the hole where water is sucked into the pump and wash it out. Maybe it will unclog. The pump is anchored down pretty good in the boat and its hard to get to. I notice the top of the pump has some fins that you can grab and turn to unlock the top. However, it doesn't come off for me to inspect the inside of the pump. Any other suggestions?

Nice catch. I like what I saw of woolen last week. I'm gonna add some of those lakes to my rotation. I bet those docks on Lafourche are stacked with fish in the summer. From the road it didnt look like much cover or structure on the lake.
