I’ve caught some nice fish in Miller’s lake in Ville Platte. Water is always clear so it’s best to fish on overcast days. Haven’t been since last spring and have not heard any recent reports, but it’s always worth a try.

That particular lake is only 7 acres and the launch is dirt, you will need a flat bottom for that one. What you will need to do is continue north on the main road. You will see a sign on the right that says Indian Lake turn right and follow the road. you will go about a mile the lake will be on the right hand side. You will see a red camp and a cleared out area. The launch has gravel and is not steep at all. You will have to back up a ways. You can use the big motor to launch and trailer. I would not attempt to get on plane are even close to it. just idle around there fish the lily mats they are there. There is also a lake once you get to pipeline road on the left off the road you will dead end to the pipeline itself. that lake will also require a flat bottom boat. Good Luck.

I always thought Indian Lake was private.
