    Default Larto update

The water on the Bean Field rd is almost gone 1 spot @ 50 yds long is all thats covered. When I passed Youngbloods there was water from the levy to the boat launch. The lake and canals are muddy and the water is still up in the trees, the water level was 42.35 ft and dropping about 3-4" a day and 53 deg surface temp. I found a spot out of the wind and decided to try to dround some shiners, caught 13 and kept 2. I got me a new delier and didn't read the instructions properly both fish read .90 kg, even caught a paddle fish. If the water keeps falling like this it should be down another 3' for the Larto Gathering.

.90 kg = 1.98416 lbs missed it by that much. Found a you tube video on how to change the scale.

They opened Hunt Rd. on the Saline side yesterday. Muddy Bayou will open when Larto gets to 40'.

There is still plenty of water in the woods as you get into the Saline side of the complex, but it is dropping pretty quick.

Still plenty of water at Youngblood too. Water is dropping 3 to 4 inches a day right now. Should be good for the gathering.

Anybody close to Buds, look up Larry and Sandy Bovee (crappie1 & crappie2). They camped there for the winter and are as nice of people as you can find. Tell them spartannation sent you.
