Default Crappie Fishing around Thibodaux La.

Hello all, I'm from NE Oklahoma, going to be in Thibodaux on 2 /28 thru 3/6 visiting. Trying to decide whether to drag our boat down with us. Never fished the area and know nothing about it. Any info on where, and what to expect the Crappie Bite to be like, spawn, prespawn, post, etc... would be greatly appreciated.

There are plenty of fishing options down in that area, not far from saltwater fishing if you wanted to try your hand at that.

Thibodaux is right in between lake verret and Lac Des Allemands which are two good fisheries.

I would keep an eye on the posts coming from this forum over the next couple weeks to see how fishing is but I would expect fishing to pick up over the next month.

Most definatly will. Used to Bass fish the Red River out of Shreveport and Alexandria. That was always the best part. The Crawfish is my favorite part of La. Can't hardly get fresh Crawfish here in NE Oklahome

All the lakes and canals should be in full spawn by then. Lake Verret, lake Beouf, DesAllmends. Some areas in bayou black will be on also.

Armand thank you for the kudos but lately I've been batting very low. It's been a tough fall and winter for me, I don't know why. A few are catching but most of the people I run into tell me the same thing, can't find them or they're not biting.

I agree with Bayou Boy the end of Feb. should have the fish willing to bite just about anywhere.

I've been on Lake Verret this Fall, and I should say it's a great place.

Paarker thanks for that info, is that in the lake itself or the canals around it. I haven't been there since year before.
    Thanks,
