We will see how it does. SK’s video of it in actual use is what sold me.
I fish from a kayak and mainly cast but I do some jigging and a little trolling. Do you think the 8' casting/jigging rod would be ok or would waiting for the 7'6" casting rod be a better match for the way I fish?
I have never been on a kayak but a friend of mine has a kayak and I asked him which one would be better. He said that he has used both an 8 footer and a 7’6 in his kayak. He told me that the 7’6 was better.
Yeah it gets cumbersome that long a rod in kayak but mainly I think since I mostly cast waiting for the true casting rod would be better than the jigging rod.
What's the diff? I get confused about the terms used for rods: what is the difference between casting - jigging - trolling?
"Alive without breath, as cold as death; never thirsty, ever drinking, all in mail never clinking."
I know the jigging rod doesn’t have the large first guide. All the guides are small. This wouldn’t be ideal when casting. Then between jigging and trolling maybe the stiffness of the rod? Not entirely sure myself.
I like large guides all the way down......nuttin mo frustrating than trying to fish early in morning, and having ur line stick to the rod

After a few trips with the new rod, I am solidly recommending it... The sensitivity and backbone are second to none!
Look for the old Carolina Skiff
