    Default Lac Des Allemands 1/6/19

Made my way down to Lac Des Allemands on a very pretty Sunday. Launched out of Vacherie and fished the undeveloped canals near Fred’s. Showed up to the party for the afternoon session to find people on the bank and a handful of bass boats.
Took awhile but figured out the pattern about mid afternoon....STUMPS. By 2:30 the water temp was 59 degrees and I only had one fish so I decided to start fishing shallower. It paid off for the remainder of the day. I did not get many strikes but the ones I got were some good fish.
Holding close to dead stumps in less than 3’ of water. Might be setting up spawn early???

You did well, thanks for the pictures and report. Second report I've gotten of fish getting ready to spawn in the Lac area.

Way to hang in there and find the fish. Seems like the consensus is the same throughout the state.......early spawn.
