Bluebird Canal??? (Gibson LA)

Anyone here familiar with the bluebird canal? I'm not interested in fishing it, but I have a hunch that there may be some early season crabbing opportunities.

So my questions are: #1 How deep is the canal? #2 When does the fishing pressure/boat traffic get bad? I'm looking at going end of next week.

The blue bird is a clear water, grassy canal and is considered a community hole. It gets very little break from fishing pressure.

You can’t even take a leak out there without 6 boats watching you. That place is a joke and really takes the peacefulness out of fishing

Thanks Bayou Boy. I've been there once a couple years ago, but i was in a boat without a depth finder. I didnt know if it was a deeper pipeline (7-10ft) or shallower and silted in.

Thanks man. I've heard it can be crazy. I'm not a fan of too much company. I think I'm gonna steer clear and try my normal spots. I once made the mistake of crabbing turtle bayou pipeline on a Saturday. After 1 run of absolutely killing the crabs, I picked up my nets and got the heck out of there. I couldn't handle the endless parade of bass boats blowing by me.
