    Hello fellow fisherman I want to know if any of I guys ever fish providence canal in hahnville off hwy 3127 I have noticed the last two week it have been packed with boats dont know if they duck hunt or fishing but any information would be greatly appreciated

    Providence canal is associated with lac des allemands & they have been killings them in lac des allemands..a guy showed me a pic of there catch from last week man all I could say about that is SLABS & everybody catching there limit

    Never fished up there is that canal fishing or lake fishing. Thanks for the report and welcome to the forum.

    Never fished there either. When the weather gets better I’ll have to give it a try. I need to find a new place to fish and the Lac seems promising.

    It has been a few years but I have fished there. The canals hold a few fish in the late fall/winter but are shallow and quick to muddy. The best most consistent fishing is in the Lac. That's my experience.
