It's so bad in my normal places I've got to bust a move. Anyone talking me out of it?

I like the drive and the little lake is peaceful so it should be fun if the license plate thief stays home.

Bruce I followed my gut yesterday and we got ourselves a boat ride. At least it was a nice day for a boat ride.

Hey, sometimes a boat ride is very productive, especially, if you are looking for a new place to fish. Exploring one day may save you a lot of time the next time you get to go.

I agree Pastor, but this time the ride was just to get Linda out the house. She's been laid up with a broken right arm (her fishing arm) and has cabin fever real bad. We did wet a line for a little while but fishing wasn't the prime reason for the trip. While out there I met someone who was a minnow soaker. He didn't do any good either as I spoke to him when we picked up at the launch. I invited him to CDC and when he told me his name it sounded familiar but I couldn't make a match. On the way home I remembered I had worked with his brother Scotty some years back. Small world, I just hope I run into him again soon.

Well I caught 3 nice fish and a big Goo in the rain. It was OK until about 11:30 when the breeze picked up just enough to make it seem cold. Truck temp said 60 back at the landing. There were 2 other brave souls but they quit before I did so no idea what they did. Mine were caught vertical fishing structure I found. Really beats Palmetto though. The last 3 trips in the kayak there gave one fish. That place used to be so good in the winter but now it's about 80% covered with salvinia.

No pics as I gave the fish to a bank fisherman.

You did well. Was the water color good and did you use any live bait? Thanks
