Default Helix 7 Chirp GPS SI Gen 2 upgrade

I thought it was on Shadows Post about Helix 5 but could not find it there -- someone posted a link to HB about the Upgrade of the Transducer if the Transducer with the unit was unused and all the mounting hardware could be exchanged for the High Definition Transducer --- Cost $85 --- The link compared the HD with the one that came in the Box.. Down in the Quistions and answers someone had a Screen Shot where they ran back over the same track using SI and the difference was like Day and Night. Even though there were no fish present the Image was Grainy and would have been hard to see the fish shadow in water that was 16 feet deep, Side to side was 50 foot --- the Image with HD was very clear... I looked at HB to see what the cost would be to upgrade later -- the cost would be $169.99 and shipping --- with it raining all the time I had not opened anything for the Transducer -- I made the call to Customer support and exchanged mine for the XHS HDSI 180T - Used on the Helix 10 -- I think it is the Transducer that comes with the Gen 2N - It cost about $ 8 Postage and will take Two to 3 Weeks to get here

Thanks Paw-Paw ,, I forgot to mention the HD unit clearly showed, what looked like Bream beds that barely looked like, it could possibly be Beds with the Reg SI Transducer

Larry that post was under Fishing Electronics Down and Side Imogene. I read the same article and was in the market for an upgrade to my fishing electronics.

No not yet, still trying to decide between the Humming Bird or the Garmine. I would like the 7" but the amount of room I have on the bow is only going to allow the 5" screan.

I know what you mean about being cramped for room for Electronics.. the HB is 10 1/2 inches --- my little tub is 14 feet with Stick Steering. The Helix will be mounted with a Ram mount on a Swing Arm between the TM and Stick... the Screen can be as close as 18 inches
