WORK -- sometimes I kind of Miss it, My Daddy was a Iron Worker and helped build the Twin Towers. I am glad he passed before they Fell because he was Very Proud having being a part of getting er done. He helped getting lots of people in the Iron Workers union. I had opportunity to help get Gas flowing from south Louisiana after Katrina and Rita. As an Industrial Electrician working in explosive environment things are different, but quality work is the difference in safety. Many things stand out like being recruited from Employers to work on Jobs I had not applied to.... One was helping Build a project that went to Afghanistan for the US Air Force , Drone control center that was Secret. and working on Off Shore Oil rigs as a Instrumentation Tech.. Flying out on Helicopters was a Bucket List thing for Me. Hundreds of Dolphins in water that was slick with no wind was special.. Then there was one morning the fog was so thick you would think you could cut it with a knife... when you looked down from the Platform, suddenly you were completely surrounded by the most Beautiful Rainbow you could ever Imagine... Then after Hurricane Rita below Lake Charles at Grand Cane... When the Power was restored at a Pipeline Pump Station A Coon had climbed to escape the flood somehow managed to get into the Main Power High Voltage Panels, Fried several times , then rot a few days to be Fried again.... Folks still talk about that Coon years later and how nobody that worked there could put their head in the Room without running for the Railings, but we handled the Job ... After Retirement I done got Lazy but my Memories are Priceless.
Welcome Mr. Woodall. I'm glad you came. Talk Ole Johnny into coming and staying next year.
