Default Bar Pits in Baton Rouge

Anyone fished the ones south at the bend, i don't know how to post pictures. They look like they aren't very deep but i know the river floods that area every now and again.

I fished a few times years ago. I caught a lot of catfish. I never fished for sac's back then.

Default Bar Pits in Baton Rouge

Red...I fish different bar pits in west Baton Rouge, pointe coupee and iberville parishes at times;they’re all different! Some are deep some shallow and some are both. Fishing can be real good in them, especially when the high water just falls out of them. Just find some structure and fish around it...never know what you’re gonna catch! Good luck

Vet we usually throw a cast net for shad. Carolina rig for flatheads with live bait and cut up the rest. I have never tried drum.
