A buddy made a trip to fish the gulf had bait shrimp left . Froze them decided to use them to tip jigs . Thawed them out and tried them they worked but would come off easy next time he put in micro wave that made them tuff and last longer. How do you catch grass shrimp ?

Tried fresh shrimp bits yesterday and today. Very fresh shrimp is clearer in color and firm as long as kept on ice. Bits stayed on jigs better than nibbles. Only caught one slab and 5 small crappie yesterday and none today. Only fished 30 min or so each day. 5 ft deep in 10ft water fishing tree tops I sank this spring. I use a fine mesh net and drag through vegetation in ditches that hold water all year long. Will try later today and post.

Yea, just do like Slabhunter does...
Mix shrimp, roe, and bud lite , run through blender and put in bait pump!

This is the best idea yet! Not a bite yesterday evening or today. Lots of gar and shad activity which is usually a good sign the crappie will also be active. Not biting on any jigs tipped with
nibbles or shrimp. Can’t give up ever though. Love that thump too much!!
